MONTICELLO - It's still early in the volleyball season and Monticello coach Scott Smice still is juggling his lineup.

Smice used seniors Alyssah Kubly and Paige Dilley next to each other as hitters in the front row in the third set and the Ponies rolled past Albany in three sets 25-10, 25-6, 25-11 Thursday.

"We wanted to put Alyssah and Paige next to each other instead of on opposite sides of each other," Smice said. "We wanted to give us a double threat in the front row. I'm just trying to find a little more firepower. We are still trying to find the right offense to run the rest of the season. I think it worked out as well as our regular lineup."

With the win, Monticello improves to 4-1, 3-0 Six Rivers East.

Kubly racked up nine kills, 10 digs and five aces. Dilley added seven kills, eight digs and three aces. Brecklyn Klosterman had five kills and Mackenzie Zanow had four aces. Monticello senior Jordan Garrison had 23 assists.

"Our zone serving was very good tonight," Smice said. "Everyone who played executed really well. It was a big team effort."
