MONROE - The Monroe Pee Wee Avalanche hockey team traveled to Verona on Saturday, Dec. 8 and came away with a 6-2 victory.
Cade Janecke scored the Avalanche's first two goals. Both goals were assisted by Tessa Janecke. Travis Edmunds added the final four goals to seal the victory. Jared Cline and Joe Wyss each recorded an assist. Goalie Jayden Johnson recorded 24 saves.
On Sunday, the team hosted Beloit and lost a hard-fought battle 7-3. Cade Janecke, Charlie Harris, and Wyss each scored a goal for the Avalanche. Edmunds assisted on all three goals, with Wyss recording one as well. Johnson had 30 saves in the defeat.
The Avalanche host Dodgeville on Sunday at 11:15 a.m.
