"The last couple of games we have got off to slow starts," Pecatonica-Argyle coach Larry Green said. "We talked all week about getting out to a good start and we were certainly able to do that."

With the win, Pecatonica-Argyle keeps a one-game lead on Cassville in the race for a conference title. Pecatonica-Argyle will play at Cassville Friday. The last time the Vikings won a conference championship was in 2008. The Vikings can clinch an outright conference title with a win against Cassville.

"The winner of this game will be the conference champion," Green said. "We will focus more on Cassville than what we are playing for. Knowing what we are playing for will be a little incentive for them.

"River Ridge did a good job of getting us in third and long early on. We were able to throw the ball and find the open receiver. Logan did a good job of finding the receivers and our line did a great job."

Logan Green tossed a 12-yard TD pass to A.J. Hendrickson in the first quarter. Green then hooked up with Chandler on a 60-yard TD pass. Chandler scored on a 30-yard run to give the Vikings a 21-0 lead in the first quarter.

The Vikings were able to play their second unit in the second half. It's the second straight game the Vikings have used their second offense and junior varsity players.

"Any time the second unit or our JV guys get reps it helps down the road in case of injury," Larry Green said. "It helps that they get that game experience in a varsity game. It's definitely good for the program."
