BLANCHARDVILLE - Kimee Chandler and Brittany Kent each scored 22 points for the Pecatonica girls basketball team as the Vikings defeated Benton (11-11) 68-33 and earned their spot in Saturday's Division 4 Darlington Regional final against Black Hawk.
Pecatonica (15-7) jumped out to a 20-6 lead after the first quarter and held a 32-9 advantage at the half.
"It's a lot easier to play when you are ahead," Vikings head coach Mike Armitage said. "Benton is a much better team to have just nine points at halftime. That's a credit to our girls and the defense they played."
In the third quarter, Pecatonica outscored the Zephyrs 21-8.
"Now we get a chance to compete for a championship. Our kids earned the right to be there, and we're going to do our best to win," Armitage said.
Pecatonica and Black Hawk play at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
