JUDA - The Pecatonica baseball team slugged its way to an 8-4 win over Juda on Saturday.

Pecatonica junior Devin Jeglum crushed a two-run homer in the first inning. Jeglum finished 2-for-3.

Pecatonica senior Lee Vlasak, who was 2-for-4, had a two-out RBI single in the second. Vlasak stole second and Milton Kurschner, who was 2-for-4, came through with an RBI single.

Pecatonica sophomore Tannar Johnson hit a solo homer to left in the third.

Juda battled back in the third when Steve West blasted a three-run home run.

Juda's Brandon Bauman, who was 2-for-3, hit a solo homer to left in the sixth.

Bryan Bauman went 2-for-4 for the Panthers. With the loss Juda drops to (3-5, 3-2 Six Rivers East).

"When you play good teams you don't get away with as many mistakes," Juda coach Kyle Krueger said. "Pec really capatilized on ours tonight.

"We had some costly wild pitches and passed balls that allowed runners to get into scoring position and they found the holes to drive in those runners. They scored four runs with two outs, which is kind of back breaking."
