BLANCHARDVILLE - The Pecatonica-Argyle Vikings improved to 3-3 overall this season, and 3-2 in the Six Rivers Conference, thanks to an 18-14 win over Belmont on Saturday.

The Vikings got a first-quarter touchdown when quarterback Jon Hendrickson connected with wideout Nathan Loyd from 52 yards out, making it 6-0. In the second, Hendrickson hit Kyle Zwicker in stride for a 42-yard score.

Belmont finally reached the board late in the first half on a 17-yard pass play, making it a 12-8 score at the break.

In the fourth, Jared Johnson busted off a 14-yard score to make it a 10-point game. One final Belmont score in the fourth was as close as the Braves could make it.

Hendrickson finished with 126 yards through the air, and the Vikings had 140 yards rushing on the ground. Johnson led Pec-Argyle with 66 yards on 16 carries.

Belmont amassed 258 rushing yards and 88 passing yards, but turned the ball over three times, while the Vikings held onto the ball throughout the game.

Pec-Argyle's next big test comes next Saturday, when Highland (4-2, 4-1) comes to Argyle.
