CUBA CITY - Mineral Point won Monday's SWAL golf meet by two strokes over Pecatonica-Argyle, 173-175.

Mason Holcomb of Pecatonica-Argyle and Brady Peat of Iowa-Grant were co-medalists, shooting a meet-low of 39 at Cole Acres Golf Club. Pecatonica-Argyle's Dylan Stietz tied for third place with a score of 42, and teammate Jeff Saether carded a 45. Darlington's Cole Roelli shot a team-low 48.

Fennimore (191) took third, one stroke ahead of Iowa-Grant (192), two ahead of Darlington and Barneveld (193), and three ahead of Southwestern (194).

After multiple early-season postponements due to weather, Pecatonica-Argyle is scheduled for five matches this week. On Wednesday, the team travels to New Glarus for an 18-hole invitational, then on Thursday Iowa-Grant is hosting a previously rescheduled meet. The final SWAL mini meet of the year is at Dodge Point Country Club in Mineral Point on Friday, and the SWC Cup, which is where the SWAL and SWC conferences battle it out against one another, is slated for Saturday at Dodge Point.

The May 15 conference championship, originally scheduled to be played in Platteville, will now take place at Edelweiss Chalet and Country Club in New Glarus.
