PLATTEVILLE - Darlington's girls track and field team had four first-place finishes at Saturday's Benton Indoor Invitational at UW-Platteville.
Hannah Huffman won the long jump with a leap of 14-feet, 6.25 inches. Christa Wamsley took top honors in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 13:10.71 and Alix Brandt won the 55-meter hurdles with a mark of 9.6 seconds.
Darlington's 1,600-meter relay team also took top honors.
Pecatonica-Argyle's Kendra Sigg won the 1,600-meter run and finished second in the 800.
Darlington got second-place finishes from Ashley Martin in the shot put (31-06.25), Chelsea Fortin in the pole jump (7-6) and Cassidy Chambers in the high jump (4-8).
The Redbirds also nabbed runner-up times in the 800-relay, 3,200-relay and in the 400-meter dash where Kayla Lange finished with a time of 1:06.1.
On the boys side, Pecatonica-Argyle's Wyatt Massey brought home top honors in the 800 (2:13.5), as did teammate Chris James in the 3,200 (10:54.3).
Darlington's Bruce King won the high jump with a leap of 5-10 and teammate Zach Brown was third at 5-8. Mitchell Whalen came in second in the pole vault (11-0).
Brandon Zywicki took second in the 55-meter hurdles for the Redbirds with a time of 8.3 seconds. Jordan Heinberg was the runner-up in the 1,600 (5:18.1).
The Redbirds took second in the 800-relay and first in both the 1,600-relay and the 3,200-relay. Pecatonica-Argyle finished second in the 3,200 by just over 10 seconds.
