BRODHEAD - The Brodhead boys basketball team suffered a tough 53-44 loss to Parkview Tuesday night.

Parkview took a 13-8 lead after the first quarter, and led 24-17 at halftime. Brodhead responded with a strong third quarter, though, to take a three-point into the fourth. The Vikings used a big fourth quarter to seal the victory, outscoring the Cardinals 24-12 in the final period.

Griffin Day led Brodhead with 13 points. Other leading scorers for the Cardinals were Danny Lewis (11 points) and Josiah DeLorme (10).

Brodhead fell to 3-5 with the loss.
