JUDA - Junior Matt Trotter scored 11 points to help Juda roll to a 44-23 win over Beloit Turner on Saturday.

"We played solid team defense," Juda coach Mike Armitage said.

Juda (2-1) outscored the Trojans 12-4 in the first quarter and led by 13 points at halftime.

Juda juniors Cole Bauman and Cody Suiter each scored eight points.

Monticello 51, Benton-ShUllsburg 47

MONTICELLO - Senior Katie Gierhart scored a team-high 13 points to propel the Ponies to a non-conference win.

Monticello (3-2) jumped out to a 15-9 first-quarter lead, and that proved to be the difference. Monticello junior Amy Silver and freshman Alyssan Kubly each added eight points.
