CLINTON - Juda sophomore Ellen Kiser scored 17 points, but it wasn't enough as the Panthers lost to Clinton 56-52 in a non-conference game Monday night.

Clinton jumped out to a 29-25 halftime lead. Juda (3-3) outscored Clinton 16-14 in the third quarter, but couldn't get over the hump.

Juda senior Brittany Riese scored nine points. Juda ophomore C.J. Dunwiddie scored seven points and senior Heather Boeke and senior Rachel Bartels added six each.

The Panthers were down by two points with 1 minute to go. Kiser and Boeke both fouled out midway through the fourth quarter.

"That was really a turning point," Juda coach Curt Brown said.

The Panthers played without point guard Larissa Klemm, who missed her second game due to an ankle injury.

"Clinton has two really good post players," Brown said. "It was a tough game in general."

Juda now turns its attention to the Palmyra-Eagle tournament they will play Williams Bay Dec. 29.
