New recreation maps available from Green County Tourism

MONROE — Southern Wisconsin’s Green County has plenty of green space, and there are many ways to enjoy it.

Activities could include going for a hike, biking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, holding a picnic, walking the dog, and bird watching. Maps in the new 2021 Green County Visitor and Activity Guide highlight the area’s outdoor recreation opportunities and show you how to get started. The five featured map locations are Cadiz Springs State Recreation Area near Browntown, Lake Montesian and Montesian Gardens in Monticello, New Glarus Woods State Park, Pearl Island Recreational Corridor near Brodhead, and a “Trails & Natural Areas” map with a county-wide overview.

Guides can be picked up at locations across Green County. Interested parties can request a copy to be sent by mail by calling 608-328-1838 or emailing tourism@greencounty.org.
