ARGYLE - The Argyle boys basketball team knocked off Warren (Ill.) in a thriller 44-41 in overtime Monday night.

With the Orioles clinging to a one-point lead and with three seconds left in the overtime, Argyle coach Brandon Bakken instructed sophomore Christopher Severson to miss his second free throw after he missed the first one.

Severson missed the free throw and then grabbed an offensive rebound and scored on a putback to seal the win. With the win, Argyle improves to 1-2.

"Any win feels good for us," Bakken said. "They seem to be few and far between. We are trying to change that. We didn't want to go 0-fer for very long."

Severson scored a team-high 14 points and sophomore Alec Treuthardt added 12.
