OREGON - Colin Hughes scored four goals for the hat trick to power Oregon to a 15-0 win over the Monroe Avalanche Thursday.

Oregon exploded for seven goals in the first period en route to the victory. Oregon's Dylan Ziomek added two goals. The Panthers outshot the Avalanche 66-51. With the win, Oregon improves to 13-8, 6-1-1 Badger South.

"We still haven't been able to get mentally prepared for the beginning of our big games," Monroe coach Josh Smith said. "Once we settle down we play much better, and then we ran out of gas by the end of the third period. The good news is that we did play much better and improved against a team that we just couldn't do anything against last time."

Monroe golaie Dan Guilliams had 51 saves. Monroe (1-18, 0-8 Badger South) hosts Stoughton Monday at 7 p.m. at SLICE.
