One for the Orioles to walk off

ARGYLE - Nothing will make a coach scratch their head more furiously than two-out walks.

Already up 3-1, Pecatonica drew three walks with two down in the top of the sixth on the road Monday evening. It led to a three-run surge that provided enough distance for starting pitcher Mallory Massey to hold off the Orioles in a complete game. The Vikings held on against a three-run seventh from Argyle to prevail, 7-5.

Argyle's pitchers issued 10 walks. The Vikings commited just two errors as Massey scattered 13 hits over all seven innings of the Six Rivers East softball rivalry.

SWAL

CUBA CITY 12, DARLINGTON 2

(5 INNINGS)>

Rebecca Norgard just wanted her Redbirds to sustain pressure.

But, after scoring two runs in the top of the first inning, Darlington went scoreless over the next four frames as the Cubans ran up a 10-run-rule victory on their home diamond.

Brianna Droessler went 4-for-4 to lead five Cubans with multiple knocks.
