MONROE - The ninth annual Net 'n Ten 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, sponsored by Monroe Area Rebel Soccer, is set from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 17 at the Monroe High School, 1600 26th St.
The event is for all third- through eighth-grade basketball players. Concessions will be available.
Each team will be comprised of three to four players with one adult coordinator. Age brackets are determined by 2012-13 school year grade levels. If necessary, players may play up a grade division, but will not be allowed to play down to a younger age bracket.
Each age division will be open to the first eight paid team entries. The fee is $66 per team, and each team is guaranteed three games and a Net 'n Ten T-shirt. Games are typically 10 to 12 minutes, and the winning team in each age bracket will go home with championship medals.
Registration and additional tournament information are available online at www.netnten.net. The deadline for entries is Friday, March 1. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit Monroe High School's soccer program.
