Mystics U13 team splits two games

MONROE - The U-13 Rebel Mystics girls soccer team split two home games Saturday. The team defeated Madison Magic 6-0 and later lost to the Watertown Force 2-0.

Against Madison, Monroe goalie Anna Latimer recorded zero saves due to excellent defense by Samantha Ellefson, Ally Einbeck, Aspen Bader, Brynn Ritschards and Kennedy Ludwig.

Taylor Adkins scored one goal in the first half, despite shots on goal by Rachel Meier, Olivia Werth, Ludwig, Heather Burkhalter, Morgan Seffrood, and Ritschards.

Monroe scored five goals in the second half. Werth scored on an assist by Burkhalter, Ritschards scored two on assists from Burkhalter, Seffrood added another, and Einbeck capped the scoring with a goal assisted by Burkhalter.

In the second game, Watertown scored both of their goals the first half. However, Latimer earned three saves. Numerous Rebels made shots on goal, including Ritschards, Seffrood, Emily Benzschawel, Adkins, Meier, Werth and Dani Larraga.
