MONROE - The Mike Muranyi Junior Golf Foundation will have a scholarship fund-raising golf outing at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Monroe Country Club.
The cost to golf 18 holes is $80. All of the proceeds will go to Muranyi's Junior Golf Foundation, which provides scholarships for children to get a one-year membership to the Monroe Country Club.
Dinner will be provided for golfers, along with about $7,000 in prizes and awards.
Muranyi, the former golf professional at the Monroe Country Club, started the foundation to foster a love of golf for youth in Green County.
The memberships and golf instruction come from the money raised at the annual golf outing. In its first year in 2010, the foundation gave 25 junior golf scholarships to children between the ages of 9 to 18.
To register for the event, contact the Monroe Country Club at 325-3159.
