MADISON - The Monroe No. 1 doubles team of senior Patrick Gellings and junior Garrett Tschanz closed out their season at the WIAA Division 2 state tennis tournament Thursday.

Gellings and Tschanz lost to Notre Dame sophomore Andrew Zimmerman and junior Declan Bowman in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 Thursday night at the state tournament at the University of Wisconsin's Nielsen Tennis Stadium.

Gellings and Tschanz finished the season 20-7.
