MONROE - The Monroe boys hockey co-op found out its destination on Valentine's Day for the Division 1 regional tournament after the WIAA released regional pairings and game times Monday.
Monroe (3-17) received an 11th seed and will play at sixth-seeded Beloit Memorial at 7 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Edwards Ice Arena in Beloit.
The Monroe Avalanche have won two straight games. The Avalanche play Monona Grove today at Hartmeyer Ice Arena in Madison. If the Avalanche beat Beloit Memorial, they would play at third-seeded Marquette University School on Feb. 16 in a regional championship game.
The Rock County Fury girls hockey co-op received a third-seed and will host the Viroqua co-op at 7 p.m. Feb. 16. The Fury (12-7-1) are looking to make a second straight run to the state tournament.
Monroe High School sophomore Cammi Ganshert has four assists this season for the Fury.
