WIOTA - The Monroe Brewers won the Home Talent Sunday League regular season finale against Wiota 7-3 on Sunday.
Rooney Janecke went 3 for 5 and Shawn Dascher, Mitch Marty and Adam Scherer each had two hits for Monroe.
Cody Boals got the win on the hill, tossing five innings and allowing two runs. Ben Korth got the save, throwing four innings in relief and striking out five.
Tommy Meier took the loss for Wiota (10-6). Meier lasted just four innings, allowing five runs. Brock Bidlingmaier threw three innings in relief and Nick Flannery tossed the last two.
Jeff Solberg led Wiota with three hits. Aaron Lancaster, Merrill Brunson and Flannery all had two hits for the Indians, which earned a 2-seed in the postseason.
Wiota plays against Pine Bluff in Mount Horeb at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Night League playoffs.
