Monroe to open playoffs at home

MONROE - The Monroe boys basketball team was awarded a No. 7 seed Sunday and will host 10th-seeded Sauk Prairie in the first round of regionals on Tuesday, Feb. 28.The Cheesemakers (8-13, 3-9 Badger South), who have lost six straight, will face a Sauk Prairie team (6-15, 2-9 Badger North) that currently has a four-game losing streak. "The seventh seed is about where we thought we belonged," Monroe coach Pat Murphy said.
