STOUGHTON - Monroe head coach Linda Moser has stated that the team's long-term goal this year is to return to the state meet with individual swimmers and a relay team. On Tuesday, the Cheesemakers competed in nothing but relays at the Badger Conference Relays at Stoughton.

The Cheesemakers finished seventh with 56 points in a meet won by Milton with 152 points. Monroe's 200 yard butterfly relay team of Sara Kind, Angie Beaver, Leanna Schwartzlow and Rachel Root took second place with a time of 2:02.95. The Cheesemakers also got a fourth-place finish from the 200-yard breaststroke relay team of Jessica Moehn, Sarah Tomasiewicz, Cat Weeden and Rachel Root in 2:37.16.

"We had many highlights tonight and we have also found things we need to work on and focus on as we push forward into the season," Moser said. "I am very excited for what lies ahead for this group of girls."

The Cheesemakers will return to Stoughton Tuesday for a Badger Conference meet against the Vikings.
