JANESVILLE - The Monroe girls swimming team finished 10th place out of 11 teams at the Janesville Parker Relays on Saturday.
Milton racked up 140 points to win the relays, Badger Big Foot-Williams Bay finished second and Fort Atkinson took third.
"I was very proud of their swims and how they handled swimming against several top teams," Monroe coach Linda Moser said.
The Cheesemakers' 300-yard backstroke relay team of Sarah Kind, Angie Beaver, Anna Meritt and Rachel Root finished third with a time of 3 minutes, 19.69 seconds.
Monroe senior Anika Nelson teamed with Meritt, Beaver and Root to take sixth in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 9:30.32. The Cheesemakers' 400 freestyle relay team of Kind, Meritt, Beaver and Briana Katzenberger took sixth with a time of 4:17.95.
Monroe swims in the Badger Conference Relays at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Stoughton.
