BARABOO - The backstrokers on the Monroe girls swimming team are making a name for themselves.
The Cheesemakers' 300-yard backstroke relay team of Randi Robertson, Sara Heitkamp, Veronica Andraski and Leanna Schwartzlow finished second at the Baraboo Relays on Saturday with a time of 3 minutes, 14.66 seconds, about six seconds behind the Thunderbirds.
The Cheesemakers finished fifth overall out of five teams at the Baraboo Relays (47), which was just four points behind fourth place River Valley. In the 200 medley relay, the team of Andraski, Schwartzlow, Kendell Niffenegger and Robertson finished fifth with a time of 2:04.77.
The Cheesemakers' 400 indvidual medley relay team of Heitkamp, Jessica Moehn, Robertson and Niffenegger took fifth in 4:56.33.
