MONROE - The Monroe U11 girls soccer beat New Glarus 5-0 on Saturday. Monroe came out strong during the first half with goals scored by Anika Einbeck, Casie Gersbach, Megan Benzschawel and Karyle Mazahreh.
The defense played by Maddison Markham, Kayleigh Nesbitt and Kourtney Walters held New Glarus scoreless.
During the second half, Alexis Bader made the fifth and final goal. Kira Lambert, Becca Rath and Nesbitt each had a shots on goal while Amy Wuethrich and Madeleine Wells helped the defense keep New Glarus scoreless.
