MONROE - The Cheesemakers picked up the No. 2 seed in its volleyball regional and will host bottom-seeded Evansville Tuesday in the first round of the WIAA Division 2 playoffs. According to Monroe head coach Dave Gersbach, the match should start at about 7 p.m.
Edgerton was granted the top seed and will receive a first round bye. Platteville (third seed) will host Dodgeville (sixth seed) and Clinton (fifth seed) will travel to Brodhead (fourth seed).
Last year, Brodhead won the regional and sectional before bowing out in the state semifinals.
