MONROE - Freshman Kyle Bruce and senior Mitch McArdle each shot a 3-over par 37 on the front nine of the Cheesemakers' home course Tuesday to lead the Monroe boys golf team to a 154-189 victory over Fort Atkinson.
Brandon Wilson carded a 39, and Aaron Krattiger and Garrett Voegeli each chipped in with 41s.
"Brandon and Mitch rebounded with very solid rounds. It was a great bounce back match for us tonight," Monroe coach Jeriamy Jackson said. "All of the guys played well, from varsity to JV."
Bruce's 37 was his best score of the year.
"He's really starting to feel more comfortable out there. It's going to be important for us to stay hot for the next few weeks as we finish up the conference season and move on to the conference tournament and regionals," Jackson said.
