MONROE - The Monroe Cheesemakers topped the Evansville Blue Devils, 2-0, in boys soccer action Tuesday night.
Lucas Goetz scored at 63 minutes, 13 second in the second period and Kelli Isaj added another goal at 73:14. Senior Andrew Aurit assisted both goals.
"The whole team played well," Cheesemaker coach Tony Stamm said. "Our team was patient. We had opportunities early, but Evansville was good in goal."
The Cheesemakers improve to 4-2-0 on the season and will face Fort Atkinson at home Thursday before participating in the Sauk Prairie Invitational, Saturday.
