Monroe cruises to win

PRAIRIE DU SAC - Senior Isaac Allen rushed for 138 yards and scored three total touchdowns to lead the Monroe High School football team to a 38-0 win over Sauk Prairie in a nonconference game Friday.

The Cheesemakers (2-0) racked up 339 rushing yards and 423 yards of total offense.

Monroe senior Cole Murray rushed for 92 yards on 11 carries and scored one touchdown. Senior quarterback Tyler Elmer completed 6 of 8 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown. Elmer rushed for 61 yards on the ground on 12 carries.

Allen punched in a 4-yard TD run early in the first quarter. Twenty-seven seconds later, Elmer hooked up with Allen on a 18-yard TD pass to give the Cheesemakers a 14-0 lead.

Murray had an 8-yard TD run late in the second quarter to give the Cheesemakers a 21-0 lead at the half.

Monroe senior Jacob Kind had a 4-yard TD run about midway through the third quarter to extend the Cheesemakers' lead to 28-0. Monroe junior Dempzy Foley then kicked a 33-yard field goal late in the third quarter. Allen put the game away with a 6-yard TD run late in the fourth quarter.
