MONROE - Tickets for the Monroe boys basketball team's WIAA Division 2 state semifinal game go on sale today.
Monroe (18-7) will play Appleton Xavier (22-3) at about 3:15 p.m. Friday at the Kohl Center in Madison.
Tickets for Friday's game are on sale at Ruf's Confectionary on the Square, as well as at the Monroe High School office, and will be available until 9 a.m. Thursday or until all the tickets are sold.
The Cheesemakers, who are making their third straight trip to state and fourth in the Past five years, are looking to win another title.
Monroe's game will be a half-hour after the conclusion of the other Division 2 semifinal between Wisconsin Lutheran and Northwestern, which is scheduled to begin at 1:35 p.m. Friday.
