MONROE - Monroe bowling coach Brittany Svendsen gave a State Club Bowling Championship update Monday and the Cheesemakers finished fourth-place in Division 2.
"One of our top goals was to make it to the state semifinals and we did that," Svendsen said. "They were really excited."
In the state semifinals Saturday at Bowl-A-Vard Lanes, Monroe defeated Campbellsport 369-325 and in the second match Manawa defeated the Cheesemakers 429-411. This was the third straight year Monroe had reached state.
"We will use this experience to fire up the competitiveness so we can do better next year," she said.
