MONROE - Madison Edgewood's Fred Richards scored four goals to power the Crusaders to a 14-0 win over the Monroe boys hockey co-op on Tuesday at SLICE.
In addition to Richards' hat trick, Edgewood's Vinnie Weis, Grant Reichenbacher and Jack Royer each scored two goals.
Monroe drops to 0-7, 0-2 Badger South.
"We knew this was going to be another rough game," Monroe coach Josh Smith said. "Not having practice (Monday) due to weather didn't help. Now we are through the tough stretch of games and can focus on our next game next Thursday against Stoughton."
Edgewood (5-1, 3-0) raced out to an early lead, scoring eight goals in the first period. Both Richards and Royer each had two goals in the first period.
Monroe goaltender Dan Guilliams had 31 saves. The Crusaders outshot the Avalanche 45-10.
