Monroe (4-4-1, 0-1 Badger South) played without senior Mohammad Assaf, who was serving a one-game suspension due to a red card he received Saturday against Sauk Prairie.

"In the first half, we knew we would have to use our bench without Mohammad," Monroe coach Tony Vasquez said. "They did well filling in. In the second half, our guys played hard, but it seemed like they were a little bit better skilled. Our touches were not as good, and their passing was better. We made a game out of it. We just came up short."
