MONROE - Here are the results from the Alpine Curling Club Mixed Invitational Bonspiel, held Feb. 4-6. It was the 45th annual event sponsored by the Alpine Curling Club of Monroe.

Sixteen teams traveled from Appleton, Chicago, Indianapolis, Janesville, Kettle Moraine, Madison, Milwaukee, Racine and Wauwatosa Curling Clubs to participate.

1st Event Winner: Leibundgut Rink of Alpine Curling Club

Alpine Curling Club invites anyone interested in getting an up-front and personal introduction to the sport to visit the club located at 1319 31st Avenue, Monroe (Just behind Monroe Veterinarian Service). League play occurs on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings and visitors are always welcome. A special "Introduction to Curling Open House" will also be held at the clubhouse March 5 from 1 to 5 p.m.
