MILTON - Scott Bianzosieri and Jacob Anderson each scored two goals to power Milton to a 5-0 win over Monroe Tuesday.

Milton's Sean Grote scored a goal in the 40th minute to give the Red hawks a 1-0 lead at the half. The Red Hawks exploded scoring four goals in the second half.

"Once you score a goal sometimes it can get everyone energized," Monroe coach Tony Vasquez said. "What changed for us is the mistakes clearing the ball and then they pointed fingers at each other. They just seemed to feel the wear and tear of the game more as they got behind."

Anderson scored his first goal at 55:03 to give the Red Hawks a 3-0 lead. Monroe sophomore Ryne Miller received his second yellow card and was ejected.

"They (Milton) seemed to get more energized and we seemed to lose energy," Vasquez said. "I always tell the guys if you don't agree with a ref's call, it won't do any good to argue with the refs. It's something they have to work on."

Milton out-shot the Cheesemakers 13-11. Monroe senior goalkeeper Austin Murphy had eight saves. Monroe (4-8, 1-2 Badger South) will play defending Division 2 state champion Oregon at 5 p.m. Thursday at Honey Creek Park.
