FORT ATKINSON - Monroe's girls swimming team finished eighth overall Saturday at the Fort Atkinson Invitational, and had stellar swims from many girls.
Leanna Schwartzlow received medals in both of her individual events, with a 2:25.38 in the 200 individual medley and a 1:15.16 in the 100 breaststroke.
No other swimmers earned medals for Monroe, but many others had personal-best marks.
Abby Hlubek beat a career best with a :30.20 in the 50 freestyle and a 1:27.04 in the breaststroke. Brittany Johnson also swam a personal best in the 100 breaststroke (1:21.05).
Elizabeth Eiseman recorded a 2:22.27 in the 200 freestyle, and Jolene DeNure swam a career best 1:12.27 in the 100 butterfly.
DeForest won the meet.
Monroe next swims at McFarland on Tuesday before traveling Saturday to the Platteville Invitational.
