PLATTEVILLE - University of Wisconsin-Platteville junior Patrick Klein crossed the line in the mile in 4 minutes, 6.85 seconds at the most recent Wisconsin Elite Invitational in Madison.
The performance is the seventh fastest ever in NCAA Division III and the fastest mark since 2006. For his efforts on Tuesday, he was named as the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Track Athlete of the Week. Next, Klein and the Pioneers will be in action at the Wartburg Indoor Select in Waverly, Iowa.
