SOUTH WAYNE - The Black Hawk girls basketball team is hosting a "Meet the Warriors" Saturday night where community members will get a chance to meet the girls basketball players and eat a spaghetti dinner.

"The Meet the Warriors" night will go from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Black Hawk High School. Girls and boys basketball players are selling tickets for the spaghetti dinner. Tickets for adults are $7 and tickets for children are $4. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.

Black Hawk girls basketball coach Michael Flanagan said all proceeds from the event will benefit the boys and girls basketball programs.

"The event was originally scheduled for Friday night, but because of the football game we had to move it to Saturday," Flanagan said. "We were going to have 'Meet the Warriors' on Friday night and then our scrimmage on Saturday. Now, we will have the scrimmage before Saturday."

From 6 to 7 p.m., the Black Hawk girls basketball team will feature some shooting exhibitions and basketball demonstrations and interact with youth players in the gym.
