Mathias powers Redbirds

BELMONT - Darlington junior Kathleen Mathias scored a game-high 28 points to power the Redbirds past Belmont 84-41 Tuesday.

Mathias knocked down three of Darlington's seven 3-pointers. Junior teammate Kaylee Meyers added 16 points and junior Bethany McDonald chipped in nine points. Casey Glendenning added eight points for the Redbirds.

Darlington (2-0) raced out to a 51-20 lead at the half. The Redbirds also outscored the Braves by 12 points in the second half.



Juda 45,

Cassville 28

JUDA - Sophomore Montana Steinmann scored a game-high 15 points and hit three 3-pointers to lead the Panthers to the nonconference win Tuesday.

Juda jumped out to a 21-7 lead in the first half and cruised from there. Juda senior Maddie Roth added 12 points and made two 3-pointers.



Argyle 78, Madison Country Day

ARGYLE - The Orioles had three players reach double figures en route to rolling to a nonconference win over Madison Country Day.

Argyle junior Jena Saalsaa scored a game-high 16 points and Kristen Ostby added 14 points to lead the Orioles who jumped out to a 43-point lead at the half, 50-7.

Argyle's Natalie Allison chipped in 12 points.
