MONROE - There are five Monroe Mat Rat wrestlers who are state bound, after wrestling in a Waunakee tournament March 9.
The state qualifiers include Jack Dubach, Garret Voegeli, Alex Witt, Wyatt Heimann and Cole Murray.
Voegeli in the 2002-03 birth year and Murray in the 1998-99 birth year each won championships Saturday at Waunakee High School. In the 2000-01 birth year, Witt and Heimann each finished in second place. Dempzy Foley, Sam Kind and Patrick Rielly each took third place and are alternates for state. Timmy Andersen finished fourth place.
In the 2004-05 birth year, Jack Dubach took second place. Luke Dubach in the 2002-03 birth year took fourth place.
