Mat Rats participate in two tournaments

MONROE - Eleven Monroe Mat Rats wrestled at the Janesville Youth Wrestling Tournament Feb. 4. Wrestlers competed in five-person round robin brackets by grade and weight.

Placing first were Kaydon Proctor, kindergarten, 44-46 pounds, and Jaden Clark, grades seven and eight, 129-135 pounds.

In second place were Garrett Minder, grades five and six, 72-75 pounds; Carson Menehan, grades five and six, 81-85 pounds; Christian Schuh, grades five and six, 92-97 pounds; and Brady Schuh, grades seven and eight, 92-104 pounds.

Coming in at third place were Abram Homb, kindergarten, 45-48 pounds; Carsen Bartholf, grades three and four, 113-121 pounds; and Anthony Wels, grades seven and eight, 87-90 pounds.

In fourth place was Noah Schuh, grades three and four, 53-55 pounds.

In fifth place was Trevor Schmitt, grades seven and eight, 88-93 pounds.

Mat Rats who participated in the Mineral Point Youth Wrestling Tournament were Grant Ula, third place; and Gage Jelle, fourth place.
