Nine Green County Family YMCA Mat Rats competed in the Toughman Youth Wrestling Tournament on Saturday in Stoughton. Second-place finishers in their brackets were Jack Dubach and Garret Voegeli. In third place were Noah Schuh, Garrett Minder and Logan Clark. In fourth place were Christian Schuh, Lukas Andersen and Jaden Clark, and Brady Schuh placed sixth.
Also Saturday, 15 Mat Rats participated in the Brodhead Beginners Youth Wrestling Tournament. First-place finishers in their brackets were Eli Salzwedel and Jaden Leistiko. In second place were Gage Jelle, Beau Hoesly, Hayden Hitchins, Lukas Gerber, Waylan Andersen, Carson Menehan and Jacob Flom. In third were Grant Ula, Joah Wellman and Keagan Haugh-Tower. In fourth were Patrick Harms, Lilly Andersen and Carson Bartholf.
On Sunday, Owen Voegeli placed first in his bracket at the Belmont/Platteville Youth Wrestling Tournament.
