MONROE - Mat Rat practice has begun and 10 Monroe Mat Rat wrestlers competed Sunday at the Sugar River Raider Rumble. Wrestlers were grouped by their birth year and weight class.
Placing first was Jack Dubach (ages 5-6/91-95 lbs). Placing second were Gage Jelle (9-10/56-61 lbs); Cole Meighan (7-8/ 64-72lbs); and Payton Weckerly (7-8/84-88 lbs). In third place were Noah Schuh (9-10/51-53 lbs); Grant Ula (7-8/63-66 lbs); and Carson Menehan (5-6/76-80 lbs). In fourth place were Wyatt Weckerly (9-10/63-68 lbs); Jaden Leistiko (7-8/59-62 lbs); and Garrett Minder (7-8/73-83 lbs).
