BRODHEAD - Junior Tyler Malcook allowed just two hits, but the Brodhead-Juda Cardinals couldn't generate any offense in a 2-0 loss to Big Foot in a Rock Valley South Conference game Tuesday.

Malcook walked four and struck out five, but gave up a run in both the fourth and fifth innings, which was all the Chiefs needed. The Cardinals managed just four hits off Big Foot starter Jordan Gottman and were shutout for the second time this season.

Brodhead-Juda (3-7, 2-7 Rock Valley South) will host Parkview Thursday.

Black Hawk 8, Argyle 7

SOUTH WAYNE - The Black Hawk baseball team turned to some small ball to rally to beat Argyle 8-7 in stunning fashion.

The Warriors came back from a 7-6 deficit by scoring on a bases loaded walk and suicide squeeze in the bottom of the seventh inning for a walkoff win.

Black Hawk's Logan Stietz was 3 for 3 with two RBIs. Cory Rupnow was 3 for 5 and had a two-run double in the second.

The Orioles committed seven errors and Alec Treuthardt and Zach Mick combined to walked nine. The Orioles intentionally walked Black Hawk junior Michael Walker four times.

Treuthardt and Mick each were 2 for 3 for the Orioles. Black Hawk's Merik Meythaler pitched six innings and gave up four earned runs on eight hits.
