Magic pull a last home win out of their hats

MONROE - The Monroe Rebel U10 Magic pulled out a 4-1 win over the Belleville Bulldogs in the last home game of the season May 29 at the Moose.

After many energetic attempts by the Magic, Carter Sawdey fired in the first and only goal of the half.

Belleville brought in the next goal to tie up the game. Kyle Walters sparked up the Magic with the next score, followed by a tap-in by Sawdey off of a corner kick from Nick Baumann. Baumann again set up Hunter Weckerly for the final goal of the game.

The Magic traveled to New Glarus May 27 and defeated the Lightning, 3-0.

The only first-half goal was scored by Nick Borowitz. Alex Tordoff and Dylan Beaver each added goals to make it three in the second half. Goalies Hunter Weckerly, Cameron Treuthardt and Beaver held the Lightning scoreless.
