MONROE - The Madison Blues, featuring six players from Monroe, will play two more games at SLICE this season.
The Blues (1-9) will play the Fox Cities Ice Dogs at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 8 at SLICE. The Blues will also play the Fond du Lac Bears at 8 p.m. Friday, March 14. The games are being brought to Monroe by the Blue Line Club and the Monroe Youth Hockey Association.
"The first game on Dec. 21 was such a good turnout we talked and they wanted to have two more games," said Gottlieb Brandi Jr., a director on the MYHA Board. "These are the other two games we have on the docket."
The six players from Monroe or who graduated from Monroe playing semi-pro hockey for the Blues in the Great Lakes Hockey League include Gottlieb Brandli III, Matt Bush, Drew Nafzger, Brandon Mortimer, Derrick Lewis and Dave Cianfrini.
