MONROE — The Wisconsin Football Coaches Association (WFCA) announced its 2023 All-Region teams on Monday, Nov. 6. All-State teams will be released Tuesday, Nov. 14. Ten local athletes were honored.

Meier was named first-team defense in the Rock Valley with a team-high 66 tackles, five of which were for a loss. Seagreaves was the Rock Valley Defensive Player of the Year, recording 10 tackles for loss with 6.5 sacks. He also snagged an interception and ran it back for his first career touchdown.
Boegli was a two-time first-team offense player for Brodhead-Juda, leading the Cardinals with 763 receiving yards and nine touchdowns. Matthys, who played just six games this season, earned first-team defense in the SWC. He recorded 44 tackles with five of them for loss.
Darlington had five players named to the all-region team, led by Jackson and Carter Murray. The two were named Defensive Player and Defensive Lineman of the Year, respectively, in the SWAL. Jackson tallied 64 tackles with two sacks. He also forced three fumbles with two interceptions. Carter Murray recorded 38 tackles with three sacks. Crist made 32 total tackles with 14 of them for a loss. He also forced three fumbles, returning one for a touchdown. Will Murray has forced one fumble and caught three interceptions. Long tallied 16 tackles with one interception.
The Six Rivers has yet to release its all-conference list for football. However, Andrew Figi has 54 tackles with five of them for a loss. He’s also intercepted a team-best 11 passes, taking one all the way back for a touchdown.
