AC POY
AC Strok earned First-Team All-Conference accolades for the second straight year, this time as Player of the Year.

NEW GLARUS — For the second straight year, junior Lindsey Schadewalt was named the Capitol South Conference Player of the Year — this time by unanimous vote.

Schadewalt led the conference in scoring, averaging 23.9 ppg. She made 69 of 139 attempts from beyond the arc for a .496 3-point percentage, which was second in all of Division 4. In a conference crossover against Lakeside Lutheran on Thursday, Dec. 1, Schadewalt scored her 1,000th career point. Just over a month later, she broke the New Glarus all-time scoring record previously set by Jaylynn Benson.

Alex Atwell was named to the Capitol South All-Conference First-Team.

Senior Alex Atwell also made the Capitol South First-Team All-Conference list. With 8.6 rpg, Atwell was third in the conference in rebounding. She was also second on the team in scoring, with 13.6 ppg. Fellow senior Grace Nommensen, third in the conference in assists with 3.7 apg, was the third Knight to average double figures scoring with 11.0 ppg.

The remaining starters for New Glarus — Elle Lancaster and Bella Brenkman — received honorable mention accolades.

For the boys, senior AC Strok was also named the Capitol South Conference Player of the Year, just as head coach Travis Sysko predicted at the beginning of the season. Strok was second in the conference for scoring, averaging 19.3 ppg.

Fellow senior Max Parman made Second-Team All-Confernce, averaging 10.2 ppg and a team-leading 6.4 rpg. Ethan Friedrich, who received honorable mention recognition, was third on the team in scoring with 9.6 ppg.
