Rock County holds off Brookfield

BROOKFIELD — After a heart-breaking 3-2 double overtime loss to the Lakeshore Lightning on Wednesday, Feb. 8, the Fury rebounded for a 4-3 win over Brookfield on Friday, Feb. 10.

Ava and Emma Kligora led the squad with three points each. Emma had one goal with two assists, while Ava tallied three assists. Jillian Traver saved 38 of 41 shots for a .927 save percentage.

The Fury ends the regular season 9-15. Emma Kligora led the team in both goals and assists with 17 and 16, respectively. Traver was the goalie of record in all 24 games, posting a .916 save percentage. 

KETTLE MORAINE 8, MONROE 6

WALES — Despite a hat trick from Easton Dreyfus, the Cheesemakers couldn’t pull out the win on Saturday, Feb. 11.

Dreyfus and Seth Brandt each tallied three points, Brant from two goals and one assist. Xander Obert recorded 47 saves, suffering the loss.

Monroe ended the regular season 10-13, eight games better than last season. Wyatt Janecke was the leading scorer with 16 goals, while he, Brant and Patrick Alt each tallied a team-best 10 assists. Obert and Kyle Theorin played 21 and 20 games, respectively, both posting save percentages over .840.

JANESVILLE 7, BELOIT 4

JANESVILLE — After upsetting the Bluebirds on ten days prior, the Purple Knights fell to Janesville in their regular season finale on Friday, Feb. 10.

Jayden Piccione paced Beloit with three points, all from assists. In net, Jameson Flanagan made 16 saves.
